Yoga for Children:
Yoga Complements any dance class, sport or activity that your child is currently involved in. Its practice helps the develping child with balance as it stretches and tones all the muscles of the body. It is a very important tool for the prevention of injury.
Children's yoga classes are fun, vibrant and fast-paced.
Children naturally respond to this noncompetitive form of exercise.
We offer classes suitable for children of all ages and physical abilities.
Why yoga for children? Besides the obvious benefits of exercising the physical body, yoga sharpens the child's ability to focus, gives self-confidence, and develops self-discipline. And yoga, practiced regularly, helps children become aware of themselves from the inside. From this awareness, changes and growth in new and positive directions can blossom.
Yoga classes can help children with: ADD/ADHD, allergies, asthma, back aches, bronchitis, better grades, hyperactivity, insomnia, nervousness, scoliosis, and Asperger's Syndrome. Research shows that simple yogic breathing exercises increase test scores up to 84%.
Yoga for Teens:
Teenagers' lives are fast-paced and very scheduled.
Responsibilities and time commitments result in the same pressure and stress that adults experience. This takes a toll on the body and the mind, which is detrimental to the growing child.
Yoga is the perfect solution and it is the natural solution to stress relief. The class focuses on stretching and strengthening the body while centering the mind. More and more teens are finding out that the calming, centering practice of yoga can help them find self-acceptance and confidence.
Teens report that they leave the class with a greater feeling of well- being and that Yoga gives them more patience and tolerance, which helps them get along with their families.

Yoga allows us to look at all the components that need to be balanced for us to enjoy good health and well-being.
Yoga can be practiced by anyone, no matter what their spiritual beliefs are. Yoga is not a religion. Adult yoga classes are in six- week sessions.
PRENATAL YOGA
Pre-natal yoga is a wonderful way to exercise, connect with yourself and your baby, and prepare for the journey of birth and motherhood. A typical class consists of 15 minutes of sharing and discussion, generally surrounding a theme related to pregnancy, birth, and motherhood, one hour of yoga, and a 15-minute deep relaxation. This format allows you to build deep relationships with other mothers-to-be, nurture yourself through your pregnancy, and identify and plan for what is important to you in your birth experience. Many mothers express that yoga was the single most effective way of preparing for birth.
POSTNATAL YOGA
Postnatal yoga classes focus on common postpartum discomforts and the therapeutic application of poses and breathing. Classes specifically focus on neck and shoulders, abdominal, low back and pelvis. Classes also address common issues and concerns that may arise in this new chapter of life. Moms are encouraged to bring their babies.
